Villa Muse was a pie-in-the-sky development. The fact that a business wants to set up shop and not comply with the Land Development Code and our local construction codes was highly suspect in my mind. The City of Austin does a good job of ensuring that our environmental quality is maintained and that buildings are safe to occupy and use.
These folks didn't want to comply yet proclaim a $2.5 billion (yup B as in billion) potential for revenue? Come on, the cost of complying with the local codes and standards in compared to the potential profits is less than 1/100th of the supposed profit.
Adios to those losers...
