Tri-Valley Farmers Markets
Quick, think of one things that we have around the Tri-Valley area that most of the other country does not… How about year-round sun and warm weather? Even parts of Florida are getting touched with a bit of winter this year but here in the Tri-Valley area we are still seeing lush green coupled with yellow sun and bright days. Can we possibly ask for more?
Ok, maybe we can. How about fresh produce, succulent artisan delights and organic meats and cheeses from farmers right here our county? Then you must make a visit to one of the many year-round Farmer’s markets in the Tri-Valley area of California.
The Tri-Valley area is comprised of the town of Danville, Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon and it's three valleys, Amador, Livermore and the San Ramon Valley. Some of the richest soil, luscious landscape, and rolling hills are found in this exquisite part of the country. In addition to the rich landscape around the Tri-Valley area are several farmers market, many of which are open year-round.
The Pleasanton Farmers Market.
Every Saturday at 6 AM in downtown Pleasanton is a farmers market not to be mixed. If you're looking for farm fresh eggs, organic cured ham, and a delicious mix of fresh fruits and vegetables for your breakfast, head down to this farmers market open every Saturday, year-round, rain or shine. It provides the freshest of the season’s fruits and vegetables as well as local artisans, fresh-baked bread, meats and cheeses. The Pleasanton farmers market pairs up with the Open Heart Kitchen to collect donations of fresh produce for the 3500 meals that Open Heart serves each week. This is a nonprofit meal service for those in need around Livermore, Dublin and Pleasanton. So make sure you find time in your schedule Saturday morning to enjoy this fantastic farmers market, open till 1 PM.
The Livermore year-round Sunday farmers market.
When you're in Livermore on Sunday you'll have to check out this year-round farmers market open from 10 AM till 2 PM at the parking lot at S. L St. and Railroad Avenue. This lets you sleep in a little bit longer on a Sunday morning but still time enough to catch your fresh fruits and vegetables, and organic cup of locally roasted coffee, and browse the many shops and booths of local artisans and crafters.
This market has several locations with new ones popping up each year. Currently located at Bishop Ranch 2 on Saturdays from 9 AM till 1 PM year-round you'll enjoy lots of local fair, fresh fruits and vegetables and Peets coffee at the shops at Bishop Ranch. On Thursday from 10 AM till 2 PM at Bishop Ranch 3 find a similar items plus a little treasure of your own.
Opening April 2 into a Wednesday farmers markets April through September from 4 PM till 8 PM at 5261 Sherwood Way off E Branch Pkwy.
