It’s What You Make of It…

long beach real estate The real estate market is changing rapidly. We have a lot to choose from these days when it comes to devices. Technology and software applications lead the way, and help us to do are job more effectively. There are tons of helpful aid on everything from capturing leads to innovative software, and even smart phones.

As "beneficial" as an asset all these new products are for us to use in our day to day business, all of these tools at our disposal are only valuable “if” they’re in the hands of the person who (in fact) knows how to work them and actually puts them to use. There’s no denying all of these tools are potentially fantastic when in the right hands.  As you think through all facets of your business, bear in mind the methods you use and (whether or not) they're "in fact" advantageous for you.

My point is this: Even though more and more agents take advantage of internet based tools, most agents are still behind the eight ball when it comes to using helpful tools & software applications. There’re many great tools for us to use that we need to apply and incorporate into our business plan. Although, just because others are doing something, don’t just use it because it appears to be trendy. Instead of just jumping on the next trendy thing, be aware and take a better look at what you are using and why you are using it.

Hey Jon. Excellent topic and I agree with what you say. I think an agent needs to understand their own process flow to figure out how to take advantage of all the technology. If you don't use it, it certainly won't work.

Jon, I'm a firm believer that we should try everything once, especially when it comes to new tools on the Internet or in person. We should learn as much as we can about new tools though or get someone to help you first before trying anything. Not everything will bring you business or make it grow but using it for the wrong reasons or incorrectly won't help our business either. Great post!

Jon,  There are so many things we can take time to learn and apply to our daily real estate activties.  The problem is, if we don't use them (meaning me) all the time, we forget how to use them three months down the line.

Jon I think many agents get overwhelmed by the vast amount of stuff available. They go on to buy this and buy that without really connecting the dots. And many agents still are not using the internet to market - that amazes me.

Anna~ I am sure you deal with this a lot as hopeful agents walk into your brokerage and try to make in the business I am positive any agent that hangs their license with you knows exactly what to do, I know your guidance is the best... Thanks for the comment!

I applaud anyone trying out the latest tools for our many devices, as long as their not using these fine tools to play angry birds or other nonsense crap.
