Anthem is in bloom...

When I first proposed the idea of moving to the Phoenix area about four years ago to my wife one of her first comments was, "but they don't have any trees down there."  I think she was thinking something along the lines of the Sahara desert.  Well, upon our first visit to the area that notion was dispelled rather quickly.  My parents live in a beautiful retirement community, Sun City Grand, which has four beautifully manicured golf courses, and in which the entire community is immaculately maintained.  We then ventured up to what became our eventual home, Anthem Arizona.  As stunning as Sun City Grand is, Anthem is even more so.  One of the hills (and one of the main roads) here in Anthem is called Daisy Mountain.  I had always wondered why up until just recently.  With all the winter rains we had the desert has explode in full bloom this year.  Daisy Mountain is no longer just a green and brown protrudance from the ground, but covered with a yellow/gold hue to contrast with the dark green and brown of the hill.  All of the purple Lantana and Bouganvilla are out too.  It's amazing how plant life in the desert just springs to life with the first sign of warmth.

The desert certainly has it's own beauty.  Having grown up in Northern California I was accustomed to very lush and green scenery.  But Arizona is just as beautiful and offers a similar array of variety of terrain and plant life.  It's like comparing Halle Berry and Beyonce Knowles.  They're both beautiful, just in different ways.

Anyway, I invite you to visit our website, www.ArizonaPremiereLiving.com, where my business partner, Ben Bailey has posted some beautiful pictures of the local landscape.
