Really… “What’s Blogging?

real estateTo blog “or” not to blog? Before I tell you what “blogging” is to me, you should know up front I believe “blogging” is a powerful tool, and when done correctly “blogging” drives online real estate consumers to your website and will increase your business! But before I tell why I love blogging there’re a few questions I’ll ask that might help you understand where I am coming from.

Do you have a blog? If the answer is no, I have to ask. Don’t you like branding your name online to the public? How do you get traffic to your website? If the answer is you don’t know, then I have to ask. Don’t you like it when real estate consumers find you online, read your information, ask you questions, and call you up?

Really! “What’s blogging? Over the years I have written times and many things about blogging, in August of 2012, I wrote “be a great blogger” & and just recently I wrote “bloggers open up the right door” both blogs do a good job covering the basic of blogging, although, when it comes to blogging “there’s nothing basic about it”

If blogging sounds a little goofy to you; I get it. I thought “blogging” sounded way too techy for me, but (the funny this is) once I tried “blogging” and saw just how painless “blogging” was, I jumped on the branding bandwagon and have never looked back.

In a nutshell, here it is folk’s! I may sound like a broken record, or I may come off as a little preachy when it comes to the laying out the benefits of blogging. But if you’re not happy about the business you’re doing, or of you don’t want to increase your business, then DON’T blog. If you don’t want to have a trusted real estate online platform for online real estate consumers to go to, then DON’T blog. If you don’t want to brand your name to real estate consumers, then DON’T blog. Clearly the choice is yours to blog or not, & hopefully I made my point & explained my position "on" to blog or not!

Hi Jon...nicely put.  I think if one would try to write a post they would realize that having a blog helps frame them as the area specialist - and that is what they want to be isn't it?  Thanks for sharing.

Couldn't have said it better myself.  I go through this with new agents in our office twice a month.  Still....no one is really taking advantage.

Hey Jon - while you may not see the benefits of blogging right away from a business perspective you sure do see it in your own learning. All the reading and writing you do for blogging comes back to you ten fold in just being a better agent. Nice post!

Real Estate Rev - More Leads Means More Revenue

Great post Jon! The importance of blogging is one of the things in business that we shouldn’t take for granted because it can establish our business ‘credibility. Most of customers now read blogs to get the information they need. So if they find your blog helpful, they’ll surely follows you and/or share your blog to their friends via social sites. This maybe the reason your blog will ranked on search engine. This means more traffic.

Okay, this is what I wanted to say. Haha! More traffic -> more potential customers –> more profits

I hope this makes sense to everyone
