Newsday, one of our largest New York newspapers, posted a summary of the Infographic results on their February 14, 2014 online blog.  My 25 minute phone interview with author Amanda Bernocco, resulted in a quote within the article.

Good morning Jill-no question about it.  Particularly when people put work into their homes that they think everyone in the market will appreciate and in fact, the work and taste is very specific and does not factor into the decision to buy the house.

Well, this is agents' opinion, and did you really expect it to be different from this? No matter how many times we would say that our objective is achieving Seller's goals, in reality our goals are different.

Ask how tasty acorns are and you might have a warm reception from pigs, but hardly from dogs...

Jon - I have to disagree. If a house doesn't sell for a year and then the price is lowered 20k, and, all of a sudden, it's under contract in 2 weeks, it can only be one thing.
