Well, it doesn't look much like Easter, or Spring for that matter, because it is snowing like crazy outside right now!

It actually reminds me of an Easter when I was a child. We had driven from Michigan to Ohio to spend the Easter holiday with my Grandparents and other family members. That year, Easter came with a huge snow storm...so much for those cute little Easter dresses, lol...and we got snowed in. As a child, we didn't mind, because we got a few extra days to spend with our cousins in Grandma & Grandpa's big old house. But I remember all the adults complaining much the way I'm looking out the window and complaining about the snow we are experiencing today!

Regardless of the weather, here's hoping you have a safe and wonderful Easter Holiday!

11 Comments on Easter egg hunting in the snow? I doubt it!

Welcome to the club!  This morning we had 22 wild turkeys in our back yard this afternoon kids on sleds!  Have to leave the Easter Eggs....WHITE...makes them harder to find! ~:-)  My daughter-in-law may give me a few words over that one!  Nice post Kelly.  We are starting to see a little more action, about time! Happy Easter.

Snow is still neat for kids!  Enjoy the holiday (the kids still will have a blast), dye the eggs and put then in the snow!  LOL!

You must love this weather.... don't you.  It's horrible.  My son broke his nose yesterday, and today he had surgery... The life of a mother of 3 boys.   We are leaving a little late for vacation to Arizona because of this little fiasco.

Nice graphics....It may not have snow, but the slush and mud will act as the same yucky mess maker as the snow.

KELLY....those bunnies are TOO cute, they cracked me up!  Anyway, have a happy, snowy Easter!

Good morning Kelly,

Happy Easter to you as well. We had Florida snow yesterday and yet again this morning, RAIN! True, we don't have to shovel it, but it puts a damper on the day. We will just have to entertain the little ones inside and be Oh so Glad we were able to be together.

Have a great day!

Hey, Everybody: We ended up with about 8-10 inches of snow...so it's a chilly Easter in Lake Zurich! The good news is that the snow is starting to melt already...so maybe we will see Spring soon! I hope! Have a wonderful Easter and thank you all for your comments & Easter wishes.

I remember that Easter!  As your sister, I was there too!  I remember the day before Easter playing outside in 50-60 degree weather (without coats) and the next day - Easter morning, waking up to 6 inches of snow!  Mother Nature sure has a crazy sense of humor.  Here in Michigan, the school district I work in had 8-10 inches of snow last weekend while 1 hour north, where I live, we didn't even get a dusting.

Loved the bunnies!

KIM: What are you doing on my blog?! :) You know me, I'd rather be in, say, Cozumel...

My memories are a bit foggy, but wasn't that snowstorm even bigger, with big drifts?
