 Hello Baton Rouge, Louisiana...it's time to go GREEN! It's time to get eco-friendly. It's time to be sweeter to our environment and to recycle and reuse. If you are like me, you were probably unaware of the little things you can do to make Baton Rouge and even the world a better place to live. It's the little things, you know? Baton Rouge has all sorts of recycling programs that need to be taken advantage of. So, start reading and get informed on how you can make the world and Baton Rouge greener!

 

Baton Rouge Round Up- If you do not have access to the curb side pick-ups then this is for you. If you life in an apartment or have a small business and are unable to take advantage of the curb pick-up, this is something you need to think about. This is a community drop-off. It is the third Saturday of every month between 8 a.m. and 12 noon on the corner of Florida and Donmoor.

 

Baton Rouge Recycling Office- Mission: To maintain or exceed the state-mandated goal of 25% reduction in land filled solid waste through design, implementation, management, and promotion of innovative waste reduction programs in East Baton Rouge Parish.

 

Baton Rouge Curb Side Recycling- Did you know that you can recycle at home? Baton Rouge gives you two garbage cans. One is for your everyday trash and the other is for recycled items. All you have to do is put it out be the curb. How easy is that? They take paper, plastic, cartons, glass, metal and cardboard.

 

Baton Rouge Recycling Program- Baton Rouge is on their way to being greener than ever. Did you know that Baton Rouge won the 2007 Outstanding Public Education  Award  from the National Recycling Coalition? Check this site out if you are interested in learning more.

Baton Rouge Redstick Free Group- This is a very unique group. It's kind of like e-bay, expect you don't have to pay for anything. It basically connects people through out Baton Rouge that are looking to get rid of furniture or wanting to own furniture. It teaches all of us to recycle and helps one man's trash be another man's treasure.

 

 Be A Baton Rouge E-Citizen- This is a program that offers recycling for most electronics including: computers, telephones, beepers, cell phones, cameras, fax machines, DVD, VHS tapes and more.

 

Baton Rouge Recycling Foundation- The Recycling Foundation has been providing recycling services since the early 1990's. They are full commercial and residential recyclers. Their primary goal at The Recycling Foundation is to maximize recycling in all of the communities where we are involved.

Junk Yard!


So, maybe you just have so much junk, you don't know what to do!
You need to get in touch with 1 800 Got Junk and they will bring
a huge u-haul and take away your junk forever!
