Hyatt Lost Pines in Bastrop TX Great Place to Escape from Katy
If you need a great place to escape the daily life grind in Katy or pretty much most of Texas then consider the Hyatt Regency in Bastrop TX. My wife and I love to go there and just hang out or do “straight up chillin”. I like to use the straight up comment as it drives my children crazy for their dad to being saying something like this.

Lost Pines is a family based resort with numerous things to do for both adults and kids. My wife and I went this past weekend and came back early Monday morning. We the journey to celebrate Valentine’s Day and just to have some time alone. We do not get very many moments alone at home. I guess you could call it our date weekend. We love to hike on the golf course and use the spa.
The resort is next door to the McKinley Rough park which is part of the Lower Colorado River Authority. The resort has so many activities to choose from including hiking, playing golf, riding horses, swimming, riding tubes on the lazy river, horse shoes, basketball and numerous other fun things to do. The hotel had a long list of daily activities for both adults and kids when we were there. This is supposed to be off season and there were a lot of folks staying at the hotel.
