Hoping To Share With Three People So They Can Share With Three People
My gut reaction to this is this: We all need to understand that Doctors are not Gods. They are people; they don't know everything; and they certainly are not God ... although many believe they are.
We all need to LISTEN to our bodies and listen to the inner voice that knows better, knows more, than a doctor. We all must take an active and proactive role in our our own health care.
Sometimes we need to tell our doctors. I know I did, and it may well have saved my life.
Let's all pray for Liz ... and share with three people.
It's almost the end of February and so it's almost the end of Heart Health Awareness Month. This morning on the news an anchor said to share heart health with three people and to ask them to share with three more people.
So on that note I am actually asking for at least three members to re-blog this post so that more people can see it.
To make a long story short I thought that I was really out of shape but just to be safe maybe I should have a stress test. My primary said he would order one but felt it was a condition issue and I should start walking to get in shape. It didn't help, actually got worse. I let this ride for a few months and then when it got really bad they sent me for a chest x-ray.
Way too many people let things go too long or discount their concerns. In March I'm having open heart surgery to replace a badly damaged valve. I should have been more proactive but I listened to what I wanted to hear and not what I needed to hear.
I'm going to be fine but I wanted to post this just in case someone is not paying attention and maybe should be. Maybe someone who follows you needs to see this. You never know.
