A New Day - Kick The Approval Addiction

Very good words of advice.....kick the approval addiction, as long as you are pleased and you didn't step on anyones toes in the process, that's all that matters. I've always marched to the beat of a different drummer and very seldom looked for approval.

EXACTLY!!!!  I wish many the young adults of our world appreciated this concept... Be yourself and stop wasting so much energy seeking the approval of others.  Do right by others.  Be kind to others.  But others shouldn't be dictating how we pave our own way...

Of course this is easier said than done.  For people who don't have an inner compass, they have to rely on the outside world to mirror them.  The trick is to start to learn to value themselves so outside validation becomes less important.  The interesting thing is, conversely the children who were lucky enough to have been given self esteem as an integral part of their upbringing, tend to see a world as having endless opportunity.

You guys always have the right words of wisdom for others.  And this is why Kharma will be good for you.

Beth, We do like to have approval from others but not at the expense of doing the wrong things or becoming crippled by it. Very thought provoking.
