3 Comments on Questions for Kimo: How would you describe "Dutch Modern"?
HHMMM, Never heard of Dutch Modern before. Does it involve wearing the wooden clogs?
Sean Allen
Frankly, I wish we saw more of this style approach with staging. I'm a sucker for the mid-century modern, Scandinavian aesthetic.
And you're right about it being more organic these days. So many people associate modern design with cold, hard lines---but in actual fact, it can be incredibly warm.
I love how today's style makers are mixing old with new --- like a wood harvest table with white plywood chairs.
Look no further than mags like dwell and domino, or blogs like design sponge to see evidence of this fresh no approach to interior design.
Now if only the local furniture rental places would catch on... or I strike it rich and have my own warehouse full of the stuff.
Oops, that was me that left the previous comment. I hadn't logged in...
and I'll take this opportunity to address the above typo. 2nd last para, that would be fresh NEW approach, not fresh NO approach.
:-)
