My kids wanted to shovel the driveway...

Another winter wonderland in Cambridge, MN. My kids are 4 and 6 so I was not expecting much when they offered to shovel the driveway.  Here is what I got:

They managed to move around some snow but that was about it.  It did help because when I shoveled the driveway, having some snow moved around it seemed to shovel easier.  Hopefully this is the last time I have to shovel this year.

The snow managed to slow down my day a bit.  One afternoon appt. got cancelled.  I did get out and show some homes this morning; followed up by writing an offer so I head into the weekend waiting to hear back on 4 offers.  Thats the downside of waiting on BANKS, you don't know if the offers are going to go through.

Back to the kids.  They quit shovel to play "snow ball fights" with the neighbors.  Much more fun then shoveling.

Chuck, just think - 20 years from now they'll be telling people how they shoveled snow that was waste deep and that they had to do it all by themselves.

Chuck ~ My kids always say "PAY ME" and they are 12 & 15 years old! so now I have a PLOW GUY do it for me, it is worth the $35.00 each time.  At least your kids made an effort ~ God love them.

At least they offered to help with the driveway. Looks like ya'll are gonna have a white Easter.....makes it difficult to find them Eater Eggs when they are burried in the snow.

Chuck:

Your post reminded me of the eight years I lived in Montana. Occasionally, I get a bit nostalgic about it but then I remember how LONG the winters were and I'm happy to be living in California again. Thanks for the great post. You write exceptionally well.

Chuck:

Thanks for the nice note. Hope your day is going well and you get a little relief from the snow. Your kids sound delightful.

Chuck, I grew up in Cambridge!  Right off of Winnetka Place by the high school.  Things sure have changed since then, I barely recognize the place.  Although it is nice to see that main street hasn't changed too much (I staged a model house last spring in the Yerrigan Farms development.)

Cute story, if only in 10 years they'll help LOL.  It's snowing here too, we have 14" so far and it's still a blowing, here's a shot earlier today - my little one (my Golden Retriever) just LOVES it!

Thanks for stopping by my blog & leaving a comment for Ann Nelson.

Chuck - I got some great pics with the last snowstorm. I'm gonna try and post them this morning! Kids are great aren't they? My two-year old likes to "sweep" the floor.
