Pāhoehoe - How many of you are familiar with this word?

Real Estate Agent with LUVA Real Estate RS 62947

Unless you live on the Big Island of Hawaii, or visited here lately, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. None of the other islands have active volcano's, so it's a word that is used mainly here on the Big Island.

Here is Wikipedia's defenition, (Funny, "Wiki" (pronounced [ˈwiti] or [ˈviti]) is a Hawaiian word meaning "fast" or "quick")

Pāhoehoe:  (/pəˈh.ˈh./; from Hawaiian [paːˈhoweˈhowe],[8] meaning "smooth, unbroken lava"), also spelled pahoehoe, is basaltic lava that has a smooth, billowy, undulating, or ropy surface. These surface features are due to the movement of very fluid lava under a congealing surface crust. The Hawaiian word was introduced as a technical term in geology by Clarence Dutton.

This is how you DONT want to see it!

Maybe here?

But if you live here, this is where you most likely want to see it

Lance-So it's used as a building material for things like fencing, maybe even patios, etc? Good recycle concept.
