It's March 1, 2014.
The forecast for tonight is 2 to 8,000 inches of snow, depending on which of the local forecasters you listen to.
I, for one, have had enough.
I've grown used to the mild winters.
I've grown used to golfing in early December, and again in late February.
Now don't get me wrong. I love snow. It's beautiful. It's hauntingly and beautifully quiet. It's fun for the dogs to play in.
But enough is enough!
So far this year, we've had 17,000,000 inches of snow.
The average temperature this winter has been 500 below. If you add the wind chill to that, it feels like 8,000 below.
It's booger freezing cold out there!
I know, I know. It's Indiana. What should I expect? If I don't like it, I should move South.
Trust me when I say that we've thought about it.
It's 75 degrees in Miami right now.
The margaritas are cold and the sun is warm.
Not here.
Okay. I'm done.
For my showings tomorrow (I have a Jeep, I'll be fine) I'll bundle up and wear my crappy shoes to drudge through the snow with. I definitely don't want to mess up my Kenneth Coles.
If you are reading this from a warm weather location, congrats. (And by that I mean... never mind. I shouldn't use that kind of language in a public forum)
If you are reading this from Fort Wayne or other cold and snowy locations, you are not alone. We are all feeling like animals trapped in seriously cold and snowy cages.
For those of you that are thinking "Just make the most of it. Put on your winter gear and enjoy it!"
Shut it. I don't like you.
Stay safe. Stay warm. And call me if you need anything. Like I said, I have a Jeep!!
Have a great weekend everybody, and thank you for reading my snow filled rant.
