Arizona Museum of Natural History - Wine, Oh Dino, Beer and Bones

Arizona Museum of Natural History, 53 N. Macdonald in Mesa, is once again hosting "Wine, Oh Dino” Friday, March 14 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., but this year with “Beer and Bones,” a 21+ event featuring local craft beers and savory fare.

The evening's festivities include science related fun, food, beverages and some great raffle prizes.  Finally, paleontologists will reveal the truth – What beers did dinosaurs drink?

Have a science related question that you've always wanted answered? The "Speed Dating with Scientists" is the event for you! Participants have an opportunity to spend timed intervals, with experts in a variety of scientific fields. When the bell rings, it's on to the next. Have your questions ready, or make them up on the spot.

This year's special guest stars are scientists Geoffrey Notkin, star of the television shows Meteorite Men and Stem Journals; and neuroscientists Stephen L. Macknik, and Susana Martinez-Conde, co-authors of “Slights of Mind: What the Neuroscience of Magic Reveals About our Everyday Deceptions.” They all will be on-hand to answer your meteorite and neuroscience related questions. You'll love this fun, fast paced and educational experience!

Admission for this event is $10 per person advanced online purchase at www.azmnh.org/winedino.aspx , or $15 per person at the door on the night of the event. Food/Beverage tickets can be purchased for $3 each, or 4 tickets for $10.

Proceeds for the cash bar, food, and raffles/silent auction go to the much needed renovation and re-animation of Dinosaur Mountain. Help them buy new dinosaurs!

Donations for the event were provided by Southwest Airlines, Crescent Crown Distributing and Desert Eagle Brewing Company.

The museum will be open during this event, and exploring is encouraged. This is a fantastic, fun night out for adults that no one wants to miss!
