Bent Tree GA Golf Club to Host Tournament to Benefit Pickens Animal Rescue - May 7, 2008

Pickens Animal Rescue will hold its fourth annual Hound Dog Golf Tournament at the Bent Tree Golf Club in Jasper, Georgia, on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, starting at 9:00 am. Funds raised through this event go to help support the vital efforts of Pickens Animal Rescue in working with abandoned and abused animals in Pickens County.

As always, volunteers, sponsors and donors are needed for the tournament (and on ongoing basis throughout the year), to help this much-needed organization stay on top of the many tasks they have to accomplish, and ensure that they meet their basic financial needs. A number of donor levels are available, for as low as $100 or less!

Love the publicity and what a great idea. In our area we are always trying to raise money for shelters and the like.

I think it's the same in just about any community -- always a need for money and manpower to provide a basic level of care for our "pets". It's a shame that there's even a need for groups like this . . . but we're very thankful that they're there.

Here in the blogosphere we're in a unique position with our readership and exposure to get the word out, and I intend to make use of it!
