Can BPO's be addictive

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Professional Realty Group
I told myself this week that I wasn't going to do another bpo till I get myself caught up on everything else.  Low and behold on Monday morning I had 4 request for drive by's, I rejected them all.  A little while later I get another request for a drive by, close to the office, in a great resale neighborhood and for $85 big ones.  Not bad for something that's not going to take no more than 45 minutes to complete.  So what do I do?  I accept it.  The next thing I know, I've done 7 this week so far.  It's hard to say NO to easy money but I know I could be prospecting instead of spending time in the office.  I find myself not being able to say no. Some people beg for them, I wish they would leave me alone because I know I will do them.  Is professional help recommended, or is this just something to take advantage of.

It's very hard to turn down quick money these days.  I've been resisting the urge to start on BPOs becuase I'm afraid of the same problem.   I've also have heard that its hard to get started. That it takes months if not years to start getting  them. I'm struggling to get SALES - I don't want to be diverted into struggling to get yet something else.

It's not to hard to get started with the BPO's, you just have to know what Companies to sign up with.  The hard thing is getting with the companies that convert the bpo's into listings.  I don't mind to send anybody (especially RE/MAX Agents)  outside my area info on the companies I use, I will email the information to you.  Royster and Coleman, I will get yours to you when I go back to the office after the weekend.  Thanks and Good Luck!

BPOs are great when you are caught up with everything and want to make a few bucks.  But do remember, you can make much more by prospecting.  Sounds like your gut is already telling you that.

At least you got some money coming in now.  If your prospecting was working you wouldn't have needed to go out or you would not have worried about it.

Who knows?  It could actually turn into a real live listing!  Of course, it could be a listing with a bit of a funk factor!  Sounds like you've sort of got the routine down!
