Wow!  Some people have no clue!  That is so hard to believe. 

Hi Gerri:  I actually watched all 8:33 of that video.  I really don't think those in the video are very different from most folks out there.  I think most people select on the basis of either their own past general beliefs or prejudices, and know very little about "their" candidate. 

Of all the people interviewed on this video, one of the last women, she sounded like she perhaps had a Russian accent, at least had a clue about why she was going to vote for Senator Clinton.  It also made me a bit sad, an a bit angry how many of those interviewed used derisive remarks when describing the candidates.  Except for the word "bitch."  I like it that Clinton can be a bitch when she needs to.  Only... her bitchiness is a "controlled" bitchiness... not like McCain... who I have seen really "lose it" on several occasions.

Gerri, revealing as that video may seem, I think there are more people now, possibly than ever before, who have informed themselves of the issues and the candidates.  However, the media in this country has pretty much selected who is going to be president by refusing to give equal coverage to all the candidates, and THAT pisses me off.  I think the only reason people recognize the name Ron Paul is because of the controversy regarding his position on Iraq.  I agree with him on that, but fiscally, he's still a cut the taxes and spend like hell republican.

P.S. Since my vote here in Florida never counts, I'm not voting this year, for the first time since 1972

Tchaka, stick a fork in my I'm done!  I've not only voted in every election since 72, I've worked every election since then.  This time, I'll sit on the sidelines and watch the parties implode.  Its very apparent to me that really none of the candidates care about us little people.  Its all about them, all about the power.  And now that we have taken the 10 steps to becoming a fascist nation, the corporations are running this country, people be damned.

Terry:  I would love to know what those ten steps to becoming a fascist nation are.  Please share them ?  Thanks so much.

I just googled it, and there is a movie called America, Freedom to Fascism, as Gerri said above.  It was made in 2006, and appears to cover the above-mentioned ten steps, plus more.  "America... Freedom to Fascism"

Karen - LOL!!!  I guess I was rather vague....I didn't even realize it.  Anyway, I did do some research and the book is by Naomi Wolf.  I haven't read it.  A friend considers her rather militant so perhaps she's pushing the envelope a bit.

Tchaka:  I Googled Naomi Wolf and found lots of stuff.  A great article on her book on Guardian, and an amazing video on the Colbert Report.  You know, when you put all this stuff that Bush and buddies are doing... put it all together, it is just terrible.  When he is done with the Constitution, it will be destroyed.
