Winners Work Their Tails Off

“A winner is someone who recognizes his God given talent,

Works his tail off to develop them into skills and uses

these skills to accomplish his goals.”

Larry Bird, Basketball Player, Coach and

General Manager

As I see it . . . . . . .

Winners work their tails off

Everyone is born with talent . . . . it’s not the amount of talent that your born with . . . . It’s what you do with your natural talent that either gets you into the winner’s circle of life . . . . or has you standing on the outside looking in.

Successful people in every walk of life take their God given talent and works hard to develop their talent to get the most out of it.

When you combine your natural talent and continuously working talent that maximize it . . . . it will grow and bring out the best in you.

Winning make a commitment of time . . . . hard work . . . . and determination to become the best at what they do. Winners work their tails off . . . . push hard . . . . and continually focus on the big picture.

Winners will routinely make the extra effort to get into the winners circle.

It takes more than talent to become a winner . . . . Winners work their tails off . . . . Be that winner and work your tail off with a purpose . . . . and the winners circle will be within your reach.

Everyone is born with talent although many need to be encouraged to explore what they truly are.

and the reality is, that the work ethic is such an important dimension that it can sometimes compensate for a lack of talent.

Good morning, Lou...winners make it look easy....it's never easy....it's consistent effort and focusing on the task that makes the end result a great one.

Love your message, Lou.  And it's so true.  I'll take someone with a bit less natural talent, but committed to working hard and dedicated to learning ... over someone blessed with natural talent and lazy any day of the week.  Commitment .. focus .. attitude ... and work ethic ar so very important in finding success ...

You know when you are a winner when you work seven days a week.  I wake up most days and don't have any idea what day of the week it is.  That's what happens when you have a job that you have a passion for!

This is true but the mere act of working 80 hours a week does not equate to success. Either maximizing that effort or figuring out how to do the same success in half the time is creating art.
