Thinking Green??

Again, I learned something new at a home inspection!  Check your hot water heater to see if it has a vacation indicator tab (where the temp gauge is).  When you leave for vacation, switch the temp gauge to "vacation."  This will save the life of your hot water heater and save you $$$$

I will have to check on that.  A lot of homes here are second homes and this is a good idea,

I was never aware of that.  I really like going to the home inspections just for this reason.  I learn a lot that I would have never thought about.  Just little things like this that make a big difference in the end.

I think most hot water heaters have the tab now...we just have to be aware. Thanks.
