A lot of people have taken a break from our winter wonderland to seek southern pastures and more are threatening to go that route soon as we near the midpoint of our 9 month winter.

So I think that it is time to remind people of a few of the many reasons why we love this wonderful winter land.

Earlier this week I showed a few dog sled race videos and today will be a few videos for those who desire a little more speed, like 108 mph (in the third video).

And as bonus some of these people look nice in a bikini though others not so much.

Thanks for stopping by Marte and Nick, Alcohol seems to be the drug of choice, though on a sunny winter day the air can be quite pleasant. Its those polar plunges on New years day that take some guts.

Bob, Haven't crossed paths with snowmobiles very often. Saw a guy racing one on a quarter mile drag strip track in NY once. Had a pavement racing belt and that thing might have been about the fastest thing I saw all night. Bill

Hi Bob,

I do not usually think of snow, snowmobiles and bikinis all in the same picture so it made me laugh. We have a Polar Dive in the winter up at Big Bear in the Mountains and it is freezing. Not my idea of fun so I have never done it but sort of the same idea .
