Big Kenny & John Rich (Big & Rich) just held an intimate get together for about 75 of us at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Big and Rich played a number of their songs including "Gravity" which will be featured on their new album, in early 2014. We were invited to the "House of Blues" by the local Country Music station (102.7 - The Coyote) to meet with Big Kenny and John Rich. Spent about 75 minutes with them and they explained what the thought and reason was behind each of the songs they wrote and then played for us.... There is nothing like the opportunity to spend this kind of time with some truly quality entertainers from the country music scene. These guys, both big Kenny and John Rich are down to earth dudes with a fun, honest, real spirit. They love what they do and are humble about their success.
This kind of chance happens often when you live in Las Vegas. More and more we are getting calls from folks all across the country about possibly making a move to Las Vegas. While the front of Vegas is full of big shows, it still feels like a small town in many ways. I've had the chance to meet and interact with some of the many stars that live and work here. Although Big & Rich don't live here, it was cool to sit and talk with them on their way through town.
