After messing around for about a month trying to negotiate on a Fannie Mae foreclosure,
getting bid up over list price, having a dismal home inspection, my buyer finally gave up
and we went in search of a home NOT undergoing some foreclosure or short-sale procedure.
What a rigmarole to put someone through (but that should be the subject of another post).
There are plenty of regular folks just selling their properties the old-fashioned way that it
makes me wonder what's going to happen to all those troubled houses out there on the
market when the public gets sick and tired of playing that game? I don't think the happy
new owner of 2422 Larkwood has any regrets about not getting the FNMA contract through.
If you have any questions about short-sales or foreclosures, please drop me a line and
I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you.

Gail:
Even from a Staging point of view, a Short Sale can be a nightmare. I have learned not to remove the pieces until the day of closing (no later or I will have forfeited my rights to the pick up my inventory).
Truthfully, I have always sigh a little when doing these, but all too often, Home Staging makes all the difference for the emotional appeal, and the buyer willing to hang on for the ride.It cost me more in the end for the short notice pick up because I have also learned never reserve your movers and truck. Many never close the first or even second time around.
Alas, it is now the nature of the market...... but I still love it all. Great post!
