GENTLE REMINDER!

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential Preferred Properties
Gentle reminder....the snow if falling in Chicagoland....make sure if you're holding an Open House this coming weekend you SALT and SHOVEL the walkways!!  If you're the listing agent...it's your responsibility to make sure it's safe for perspective buyers to come inside.   I actually invested in a few large black mats to put inside the entry ways for my clients.  This way there is no question where people should step with snow all over their shoes or boots!   It's a good idea to provide booties in a basket by the entry.  Even when the weather isn't this bad...taking off shoes while entering someone's home is a good thing to do.  Hardwood floors do get scratched by heels and shoe prints ruin the look of freshly finished floors.  Just remember...spring is coming!

In northern areas a snowshovel and ice melt should be in every agents car for openhouse prep!
