Spring means the Gulf of Mexico waters and Clearwater's intercoastal waterway off Crystal Beach Florida are warming up again! I love this time of year because we can go swimming once again and our favorite fish are making their way back down from the creeks to the open water.
What better way to spend a day then fishing and taking time to land on one of the many little islands that separate the Clearwater intercoastal waterway from the Gulf of Mexico for a dip in the refreshing clear waters? To top it off, snook are coming back into the open waters now that they the water temperature is nearing 70 degrees once again. It is snook season through the end of April and I cannot wait for us to land one of these beauties and bring it home for dinner!
Crystal Beach Florida is a fantastic place to live and since it is right on the Gulf of Mexico, you can go boating here year round. Swimming in the winter months is only for northerners......once the water is below 72 degrees, you won't find me in it!
