Blue Stores Inn and Restaurant

I was sad to learn  that the Blue Store Inn and Restaurant renamed Historic Blue Stores Restaurant, built in 1804 was no more.  Last night a fire ripped through the structure, and although many fire department responded they were unable to save it.

Over the years I have dined there, attended a wedding and a 60th wedding anniversary.

Many residents have very fond memories, a place where special occasions in their lives were celebrated.

I commuted north for years and the Blue Store Inn and Restaurant was the landmark I looked forward to, because I knew I was almost home when I saw it.

It is sad that a historic building was burnt down by fire. I hope the property owner may replicate the building.

Very sad Jennifer. I love the old buildings and architecture.

Kwee so sad.  It would be extremely expensive to replicate this building.

Janis me too.

Jennifer it is always sad to see a structure and business with the loan history of Blue Stores Restaurant and Inn being destroyed.  Even is the owners choose to build again it is never the same.

Jennifer tears are coming out of my eyes, how sad, we have so few historic buildings and landmarks....on a side note Los Angeles County is the worst out of the other areas when it comes to preservation, it saddens me to see it. I am all for progress but we also need to be considerate of our historic buildings and communities., Endre

Jennifer-from 1804 to now is an impressive run. Do they plan to rebuild?
