Have you heard yourself or someone complaining lately as to why it’s Monday again? Probably not. And only because you are possibly running your own real estate business now however, years ago before you bid goodbye to the corporate world, you must have heard this “Oh, It’s Monday again” and the other one is “Thanks God, its Friday.”
Today, I was just wondering about how often does a person complain and along with that some questions popped in my mind:
Why does people muttered these phrases all too often? Is it lack of motivation to work? Is it because they are not satisfied with their lives? Why? How can we change this mentality? How can Monday become a day of excitement to motivate someone to work as he expected to? How can one say, “Thanks God it’s Monday!” with excitement?
Research shows that more than half of us are actually complaining in the morning because it’s Monday. And this is quiet apparent with the fact that we do have a lot of things to do on Mondays than most days. Real Estate Sellers would probably start calling on Monday. Towards the end of the week you will also receive appointments scheduled on a Monday and it’s all so happen that during the weekend you overindulged yourself with food and drinks, a Buyer after seeing the house for sale would like to meet up with you on a Monday, and then you have several urgent e-mails waiting for immediate replies on a Monday and so on. The list is just endless.
Well, how does one starts accepting the fact that Monday is indeed a busy day and something that we should anticipate by working in advance to make our Monday less busy than most days? Or perhaps you can start making a rule that no appointments should be done on Mondays. Or does it make sense if we just go with the norms and quit complaining?
