When I stopped by my office yesterday, I had a little surprise waiting for me. In the middle of preparing office files for two new contracts, going through my to-do list in my head, responding to texts ... I checked my mail. The kind that has a stamp on it.
Among the solicitations, invitations, junk and REALTOR® mag there was a letter from MA & NH Real Estate Broker Catherine Condon. I admit that the name didn't immediately ring a bell but as soon as I started reading her letter, I remembered.
Catherine contacted me last summer because one of her relatives was about to relocate to Silver Spring, MD. They knew nothing about the area and hoped to pick my brain a bit. My pleasure! We emailed back and forth but didn't actually get the chance to meet up because they were only visiting for one day.
We all thought that it would be best to find a nice apartment complex for now (due to low inventory & sticker shock) and I was happy to hear that it all worked out. Catherine's relative is all settled in and enjoying everything the Silver Spring, MD area has to offer.
What made me smile all day was the fact that Catherine took the time to write me such a personal letter. She thanked me for answering all their questions and told me that my insight and feedback on various areas of the city and surrounding communities was very instrumental in allowing them to fine tune their search. I love it!
I work for THANK YOUs! (I borrowed this quote from the fabulous Margaret Rome and I hope she won't mind) - it simply made my day.
Thank you Catherine for the letter that made me smile all day. Tomorrow I will pay it forward.
