What Do You Think About This As A Way To Dry Out That Sacramento Ceiling Leak?

When dealing with major water leaks in homes and apartments in Sacramento, it can mean completely opening up the walls and ceilings to get rid of the water damaged materials. This can get very messy and be very expensive to rebuild. I had the opportunity to see a different method practiced.

This unit can help in many situations where the drywall needs to be dried out. It is best in a one-time major water leak, not the slow moldy leak where the area needs to be cleaned up and removed. The leak would also have to be fresh water, you can’t just dry out moisture containing bacteria.

The idea behind this unit is to circulate air, both in and out, within each ceiling joist bay. The flow of air will quickly dry the wet materials without the need to remove and replace all the drywall. After it is tested as being dry, the patching is limited to just the small holes where the hoses penetrated the drywall.

There are many buildings in Sacramento where this unit can be used to dry out the ceiling and walls after a major water leak inside the building. This can be a way of saving both time and money when it comes to the repair of water damaged homes and apartments.

Good evening, Tom. I have not seen this method used before. I can understand the theory behind it.

Tom, I have never seen anything that has looked like that. I guess I am not around any leaky buildings. If I ever do see these I will know what they are for.
