There is always a story to cover up the real reason as to why something didn't go right or less than expected. We are the first to buy into it. If it is plausible, then fine. However, if it is a reoccurring event or you find yourself the main player every time, chances are YOU are the problem
ADMIT IT OR IT OWNS YOU
It is not easy to admit an error to another. To yourself it even takes some effort if you are a prideful person. That's why we come up with a story to tell ourselves or others as to why this happened and how. Those stories get better and better until they are put down
BRACE YOURSELF
At some point you will be introduced to a very special dynamic in your life that can change the outcome of every single thing you do or believe in. It is the best two words you could ever combine and it takes no prisoners too...Here it comes so hold to something
NO EXCUSES
I didn't lose control of my font or color preferences in case anyone is wondering about it. I am making a distinctive life changing point for those that wish to elevate into the high stakes game of living correctly and with purpose. No excuses when mastered allows one to soar and opens every door. It's that powerful!
SPECIAL NOTE
Some of you may have found yourself resenting these two words sort of like an intrusion into your storybook. That's exactly the effect these two little babies have. They go right to work and they really don't care what you think.
RUNNERS UP IN THE SHADOWS
Good intentions may not cut it in this world of DO or DO NOT. Well meaning doesn't score well either. Even your best effort may not be good enough when a specific result is required. This no prisoner type of thinking starting with yourself allows one to fine tune and hone their capabilities
COMMAND THYSELF
You see everyone has gifts, talents and abilities that are extra-ordinary but they employ them as ordinary thereby getting less than effective results or outcomes. You are not running on after burners but afterglow instead. One is full energy and the other is left over energy
CHECK LIST
Assess yourself. Are you spread out and hitting some or all targets but no bulls eyes? Hitting what you specifically aim at is the name of the game and whats on your score card in the end. Near miss or having a good time is only good for after dinner drink conversations. Pour me another?
WHAT TO DO? & WHAT NOT TO DO
Take stock, gather up your strengths, identify your weaknesses and then begin the process to fine tune one and subdue the other into productivity. I share the story of a poor hungry man who was trying to become a stage actor in the early 1900's and was just no good and as a result used to get fresh produce thrown at him every-time he performed. While he was working out his routine to become better, he ate many a thrown salad for dinner every evening. Good he thought. I know how to attract salad fixings...now onward to steak and potatoes.
GET GOOD AT GETTING GOOD
Learn from your mistakes. Learn from others. Realize you cannot make a gain without taken a risk. Stop playing it safe or hoping for the best. Wanting to make it happen will cause it to take place. If it doesn't come right away, that is the final test to see how bad you want it
Stay the course and it will be delivered unto you...unless of course you prefer to be excused?
