Our family first learned about Papa Petrone's when we lived in Springfield VA. Fortunately when they left Springfield they opened in the Glen Shopping Center in Woodbridge.
If you are looking for fresh made in the store pasta then this is the place to go. The ravioli is amazing and though you can get cheese and meat ravioli, think outside the box and try one of the more exotic ravioli's. How about goat cheese and fresh basil or artichoke, baby spinach with pine nuts? I can tell you from experience you can't go wrong with any of them. Right now our fridge has pumpkin tarragon and roasted portobello ravioli waiting for dinner guests tomorrow.
If you want a fresh pizza then the "take and bake" is the way to go. Call ahead and order exactly what you want. The toppings include what you would consider standard pizza fare and then you can kick it up a notch with goat cheese, feta cheese, roasted red peppers, eggplant or artichoke hears to name a few toppings.
If you are planning a party the fresh made lasgne, either veggie or meat, can be ordered ahead. If you want to fool your friends into thinking you made it you can drop off your own dish and they will make it in your container. The next item on my list to try is the Spinach Artichoke Chicken Casserole.
Papa Petrone's didn't forget about dessert either. They have some desserts imported from New York including Juniors Seven Layer Chocolate Cake and they make their own Cannoli. The wall in Papa Petrone's is covered with awards showing I'm not the only one who is a fan of those gem in Woodbridge. Make sure you stop by and check it out soon.
