I've heard a lot of different opinions about how this year is shaping up.  From GREAT to I'm looking for another profession.

I've sat in on a number of motivational speakers just by chance and have enjoyed their enthusiasm and understand where they are coming from.  (thanks to ReMax and Toastmasters for the invites)

A good friend gave me the book by Jack Canfield - The Success Principle.

I took all these coincidences as a good sign and a sign to stay positive and go for the gold.  They each sent a message a little different but in a way the same. With all the changes going on we need to look at that and make our own changes to steer in the right direction.

Don't be afraid to go and talk to those that are doing well and ask them how they are doing it. Most will not mind sharing.  Find out what is working and do that and try to improve.

I try to practice staying positive at all times. If asked "how are you doing" my general response and has been for years is "GREAT".

I try to convey at each and every meeting that I'm doing great, it's great to see you, it's great to work with you, it's great to be with you and it's great to be here and now.

I believe that we can make a difference in everyones outlook on life. We all need to focus on the positive and be happy.

Those of us that do --  WILL MAKE 2008 -- GREAT

Great post. I think t he ones that are saying they are having a bad year are the ones that are use to having the business handed to them. I feel that we are back in a normal market where you have to prospect for your buyers and sellers. I think that 2008 will weed out alot of the want to be Realtors, Loan officers and inspectors. I hope this doesn't affend anyone but i am tired of all the people sitting around mopping they have no business.

Rick, you are so right. Attitude makes all the difference in the world. I have to agree with Tammy, the market is back to normal where you have to prospect and find business. Is it better than it was 3 years ago, no? Is it better that it was 10 years ago, yes. It is a whole lot better than it was 20 years ago. It's all relative and you have deal with the situation at hand and make the best of it.

Good Post!

Try not listening to the radio, TV, or read a newspaper for a month. So much of this negative news can hinder your ability to move forward. If you are not aware of what is happening you will continue forward at full speed and reach the end of the road with a Great Attitude and $$$ in your pocket.

Each day is brand new opportunity, make the best of it.
