Attention South Carolina Military Homeowners!

South Carolina Governor has signed into law a bill designed to give military homeowners a tax break on homes they could not sell prior to relocating to next duty station or deployment. According to the state paper, the law allows military homeowners to pay the owner-occupied property tax rate of 4 percent instead of 6 percent rental rate. This is significant in reducing your annual tax bill. If you have notice a huge increase in mortgage payment this could be the reason. Contact us if you have any questions.

I sell in Lancaster and York Counties about 30% of the time and I had not heard this. This is a great break for military members. Thanks for the heads up.
