Maureen,
A very special day to you too! I once worked for Real Living in HIlton Head but sadly, they weren't able to make it when the market took a down turn. Hope you're doing great.
Hi Maureen,
I personally no longer send out ecards because of the spams that are associated with them. It is sad that we live in an age where we have to be careful from whom we are opening attachments but that's the world we live in.
I took the picture last year at Galveston. It just looks like the angel is pourding down from heaven. God does some beautiful work doesn't he? I hope you have a wonderful Easter.
August, didn't you know it's not nice to promote yourself in someone's blog without permission? Shame shame.
Maureen, I don't send out ecards either, though I'd like to say it's like Marchel - concern about viruses, etc. The truth is, I never think about it in time. ha ha.
I don't do e-cards either anymore because of the fear of viruses. But I always loved getting the Jacquie Lawson cards from Maureen.
August must be a newbie to AR and hasn't read the rules. Ditto Karen's "shame, shame".
Happy Easter to everyone, hope you all had a great day.
Thanks all for the comments. I sent August a note about his comment and hope he will at least remove the link. He is new. I sent him the ActiveRain Guidelines link.
If I get an e-card from a friend or family member, okayfine. e-cards from business contacts may not be spam, but I am already overloaded with way tooo many emails each day. Please don't add to my pile of junk e-mails.
And another thought: Easter, after all, is a religious holiday. I would certainly hesitate to send out religious holiday greetings in bulk, (even if the illustration is just a bunny) unless you have a way to filter your email list by people's religion.
I always figure, when in doubt, err on the side of being too politically correct. :-)
looks like August removed his whole comment...
Whether to say "Happy Easter" with bunnies or religious symbols is a personal decision and what is inappropriate in one part of the country may be appropriate or accepted in another part of the country. AT one point Real Liiving just had "Happy Holidays" and "Seasons Greetings" cards but they also had Hanukkah cards, a couple of years ago they added Merry Christmas cards. I can't remember if they have a Passover card or not....
I personally think sending ecards is more intrusive. If someone reads my blog and disagrees with my message it is one thing, quite another for me to send something that they need to delete, open or deal with in their email.
Real Living and Real Living HER use a lot of ecards and emails with a lot of graphics. I know they want people to see them but I feel spammed by my company a lot of times because they are such huge messages because of the graphics..
Thanks for the comments all. Thanks Marchal for sharing the photo of the angel cloud.
