Cinderella Calls Dayton Ohio Home

Dayton, Ohio home to the University of Dayton Flyers men's basketball team secured the coveted title of the Cinderella fairytale team during March Madness last week with greater success than expected. The UD basketball program competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Ten Conference. Dayton Flyers basketball fans, or better known as the Flyer Faithful, will cheer on the team tonight in the Sweet16. Since 2001, the UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio was home to the tournament's play-in games, now the First Four. Tonight is the Flyers first trip to the Sweet 16 since 1984. President Obama didn't choose UD as winners in his bracket, but he still Tweeted congrats. Dayton Flyer Jordan Sibert is a transfer from Ohio State who helped beat OSU and then hit a huge three-pointer to hold off Syracuse. Pierre and Smith are other stand-out players at UD. Looking forward to a Cinderella fairytale end for the Dayton Flyers....and they lived happily ever after (with advancement to the Elite Eight)!
