What to do about cars in the driveway or power lines in the photo? Your handy-dandy graphic designer (or you if you are talented!) can virtally erase cars, lines, light poles, etc from your photo before you spend the big bucks on flyers and postcards!

The owner of this home collected old sports cars. Some of them did not run, like the one in the driveway! He had it towed to his new home after we closed escrow, but in the meantime we worked some magic with "erasing" it for the flyers and postcards!

We remove ugly lines when the perfect angle has something that messes it up. But also shooting down or up, the angle makes all the difference in your wide lens with the filters for the eye candy. The sports car unwrapped could be nice staging too! Leave it in if this is hiding under the tarp cover.

Good job. I wish I had the graphic design knowledge to remove things from photos a few years ago. My seller had an old car that couldn't be moved and we were stuck with it in the picture. It was an eyesore. We sold the home nonetheless. But now that I know how to remove unwanted whatever from photos I won't worry about that old car in the driveway.

I use Photoshop's 'content aware' feature to remove unwanted content. I even removed a stubborn dog that did not want to relinquish its sofa.

Andrew, Pamela and Michael - thanks for commenting! I'm not that handy with graphics or programs, so I am extremely fortunate that our Fine Properties office has a full time graphics person. Otherwise, I'd spend all my time "doing" and have no time for real estate! And Andrew - if the car was a groovey one like the one in your photo, I would have left it in, too. But... it was a jalopy!

Hi Kathy - first impressions count and cars in the driveway(especially those in less-than pristine condition) are typically not that attractive to prospective buyers.  Thanks for the tip.
