So many "Serious" posts - Let's mix it up a bit with some Fun & Beauty

With around 10 posts for the week at AR and reading through some of the many other blogs posted this week, VB wanted to "Mix it Up" a little.

I know there are many AR members that live in areas around the United States that got hit hard with some long, snowy cold winter weather. And things are finally warming up so let's look into the months ahead.

Here is a cute video that VB took in August of 2011 on our way to Lake Tahoe. This gorgeous lake you see in the video is Walker Lake in Nevada, approx 4 hours north of Las Vegas. VB has always admired the beauty of this lake and purchased a 1+ vacant acre lot many years ago that over looks the lake. When I retire VB will build a home and spend 4-5 months out of the year at Walker Lake.

Enjoy the video, the fun and beautiful surroundings of Walker Lake.

This video does not do Walker Lake justice, being there in person is so much more beautiful then what you view in the video. But I like this video, it's cute, beautiful and uplifting from some of the other posts ...

Thank you Robert, for sharing the beautiful video of Walker Lake. Can see why you would like to live some of your retirement years in the surroundings. Also Robert, you are so right about having some mixture posts in the AR - we all work hard and in the course of daily life, need to recharge. To me, there is not anything better than to visit an AR member somewhere in the country and share a smile, a chuckle, a laugh, an inspiring thought, a favorite flower, color, a recipe...you know, FUN. My brain worked hard all day and now I just need a little shared love. Just feels good to know you are - like the song - Somewhere Out There :)

Hello Georgie ... thanks for stopping by and the shopping comment was funny, greenery ... well, so much of Nevada is desert! And if you want greenery you have to go into higher elevation or visit Hawaii.

Hello JC ... and yes there are still lake front and lake view lots for sale! I really don't know why this area isn't booming? I think it will only take a casino or something built there in the future that will turn it around.
