A Very Valuable Lesson Our Animals Teach Us

Gary, our pets and even animals in the wild add so much to our own lives, it's hard to imaging life without them.

I agree with you 200%.  I have learned so much from my horses and pets.  We cannot change the past.  We can only live in the moment.  Why worry when that does nothing except ruin our health.  We need to put trust in God.  I wish everyone would take lessons from the animals.

We love our animals too.  Our two rescue pups bring happiness to us every single day.  That whole "live in the moment" thing is something they've mastered and we're still learning.  

sometimes they can even be more human than humans... really, having them takes away some of the stress we endure everyday... nice post!

This post reminds us all that being made in the image of God comes with a responsibility of the highest calling...The animals are all doing their bit quite well

I have two dogs, who both have their different personalities, but both know when I'm not myself and things are bothering. Hailey, my oldest doggie will walk up to me and just stare with her gentle eyes, then give me light kisses. Bud, he about drowns me with his kisses and always makes me laugh. I love those two. :)

Have 3 cats all rescues. They do certainly bring a joy and companionship to your life. Now is hairball season. Not so excited about that. Guess we brush everyday.

Gary, our animals do teach us so much - love, compassion, empathy, patience, kindness, responsibility and on and on.

Yes, everything will be all right but it doesn't stop me from having my own little mini rant first, just to get everything out of my system and to laugh at the miserable circumstances that can only get better because they eventually will.

Our pets are like our children... and they are an integral part of our family. I've always been a bit suspicious of people who can't relate to a pet. In the end, they may be the only creatures in our lives that give us truly unconditional love.

I have an 8 year old rescued mutt, Shenanigans.  Not only can she make hard days seem "not so bad after all", she has a personality that just makes me laugh.  I swear she knows when I need a good chuckle.

Gosh - this is so true - we all need our animals!!

If the animal is friendly, I encourage clients to bring them along. Afterall, they have an uncanny way of detecting smells we may not notice.

I'm with you.  I love animals.  Let's treat them right and try to love them as they express their love to us.

Gary, our pets are members of the family.  They are always there for us. You are right.  They live in the moment and when they get into mischief, they still know all will be well in the end. When we lose them it is devastating.

Gary,  Animals are truly amazing.  You can have the worst day ever and they sense it.  They sit by your side.  Whether you're gone for five minutes or five days, the greeting you get is unbelievable.   If you're not feeling well, they sit by your side.  What great companions they are!  I, for one, wouldn't have it any other way!   And it sounds like you wouldn't either!
