Put Back the Chandelier and Leave the Plantation Shutters Alone

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

Everybody knows that this Sacramento real estate agent mostly works with sellers in the Sacramento region; as such, it means I help them to get their homes ready for sale, especially when those homes are cluttered. It takes a lot of patience, kindness and a sense of humor.

On a side note, it's also good that I don't know any women named Ruth. Do you? When I think of the name Ruth, the candy bar Baby Ruth, comes to mind, and I realize he was a famous baseball player and all, but I really dislike Baby Ruth candy bars. If I found those candy bars in my Halloween bag as a kid, I was pretty ticked. They're almost as bad Butterfingers. Where are the Snicker Bars?? That's what I want to know.

But I digress. I think of Ruth because sellers have to be ruthless. It's hard. It's difficult. And for some sellers, it's almost impossible to work through how to throw away stuff, donate it to charity or otherwise dispose of the clutter before home selling. And please, for all that you love on this Earth, please leave the shutters and light fixtures attached.

You can read more in my personal blog today about Notes on Decluttering a Cluttered Home Before Selling. We all have clutter, and I'm not exempt, either.

You don't like Babe Ruths or Butterfingers?  What is wrong with you girl?  They are some of the best candy around.  Now I forgot what you wrote about.... Excuse me while I go back and read what you wrote about

You needed a 30 ton dumpster after hauling your goodies to Sacremento?  That is some serious hoarding Elizabeth.

It would be a nice gesture on the part of the sellers to leave a few Baby Ruths around the house.

Put 40 years of experience to work for you

OK, James, from now on I am mailing you all the Baby Ruths and Butterfingers I run across, ick ick ick. Even if I were chocolate starved I would not eat a Baby Ruth, OK, maybe I would peel off the chocolate.

Hi Conrad: Yes, that's the truth, if you can believe it, a 30-ton dumpster. See, I speak from experience on these things.

All right Gabe, you, too, all the Butterfingers go to Florida.
