Vegas Bob rode the TALLEST Ferris Wheel in the World Today HIGH ROLLER

Well today was the opening to the public of the HIGH ROLLER Ferris Wheel. Vegas Bob road the BIG Wheel at around 4:00pm Pacific time and loved every minute of it.

Cost during the day is $24.95 and evening is $34.95

Vegas Bob had his very large Sony HD camera in hand and his VEGAS BOB name tag on his shirt. There are a bunch of "Eye in the Sky" cameras all over the LINQ where the High Roller is located. Someone must of spotted Vegas Bob because he was met just before he jumped in the car bay a man in a suit.

The man asked Vegas Bob a bunch of questions about what he does with his "Videos" etc. and if my videos will be loaded to the Internet. I explained to the man that I take videos freelance and they won't be loaded to the web. The man looked at me and said ... "You have a HD camera that size and a name tag that says VEGAS BOB and your not going to load it to the Internet"? And Vegas Bob said ... (NO).

So for now VB has some "Great" HD Video walking into the car, video footage inside and out looking over Las Vegas from 550 feet. And VB is going to just let this HD Video (cool down) and think about really whether he wants to load it to the web or not.

So for now please enjoy my photos ...

Hello Paul ... I believe if you were to see how BIG these cars are on the High Roler, you light change your mind. The cars are the size of a BUS and you can't even feel the cars moving, it is quite fascinating!

PS: It's only 550 feet tall, I para-sail from 1500 feet over Lake Tahoe ...

You would have seen my nails scrap and cut open the doors to that thing. There is no way in hell I would get on that. I am afraid of heights and there is no way I tell you. As far as the video is concerned. Well think about if it is worth it or not.

Very interesting story about the encounter with the man.

I've been encountering a lot of people lately that love their Sony's.

Not so sure about being that high up. I'd have to see it to decide if it meets my perceived "safety factor."   If I did go, I'd want to go in the evening.

Hello Sondra ... VB gets harassed by men like this all the time! You would think they would just leave me alone, all VB does is help drive to tourists to Vegas and all the others places he visits. This High Roller Ferris Wheel is so safe and smooth ... You really don't want to look at this thing from the ground. It is 550 feet tall and looks so HUGE ... just purchase your ticket at night and take a ride! VB promises you that you will love it!

I have hated the Ferris Wheel since I was a 5 yr.old when my Dad  coaxed me to go on one. The ride stopped working as we were perched at the very top of the ride. My Dad kept swinging back and forth as I held on tightly to the silver side frame of the wheel. However, that said, I would not want to be in Vegas and miss this ride. Excellent photo. Fantastic view!

I like the high Ferris Wheels and Sky Towers like we have had at the State Fair of Texas approx 500 ft high so I have experienced that. Love the views. Pricey day and night when I pay like $7 here LOL. They must have rules against the video. Maybe only want still photos. I do not understand the question about loading it to the Internet if again more restrictions they have.

Hello Gary ... $7.00 in Texas is a great deal! One of the main reasons Vegas is so exspesive is because 30% of the people that visit Vegas are from Cali and they spend money. As for the restricted videos, I don't know? Could be a bunch of "Power Trips" and or free loaders trying to sue MGM, Harrahs, etc because their face was captured by someone taking video or photographs. And the person next to them is their "mistress" or maybe they told their husband and or wife that they are in Chicago, or another city, but really they are playing in "SIN CITY"

Don't think I've every mentioned it, but I'm afraid of heights. I don't think you'd catch me on that ferris wheel even if the ride was FREE!

VB, how many people fit into one of those capsules?  I like the fact that they are enclosed, if they were open, no way.  I don't like heights but I don't mind cable cars going up mountains, a little weird maybe.

Hello Silvia ... Approx. 40 people can fit in one car/pod and I think there a total of 25 pods. Parties can rent the whole car for a price, couples can get married in them, served food, etc. It takes 30 minutes to make a compete turn, but I think if a party rents a car they can go around as many times as they want and or paid for!
