Chocolate Lovers Unite

Ok...I must admit I love chocolate. There is just something about eating chocolate that relieves stress and gives me a peaceful, relaxed feeling.

There are two places here in Naperville that I think of when I think chocolate. The first one is Le Chocolat Bar of Naperville. Located in downtown Naperville, a great place to relax and experience a variety of chocolates and chocolate flavored coffees (an upscaled version of Starbucks). The interesting thing about Le Chocolate is the story behind the opening of the store. The owner, once suffering from Fybromyalgia discovered the healing benefits of eating dark chocolate and since has become passionate about dark chocolate and thus the opening her store. She now has the dark chocolate specially made and sells it there. (Now I can feel less guilty when eating it).

The second place is Ethel's Chocolate Lounge, a fun place to hang out with friends. They offer the best chocolate fondue I have ever had, (talk about chocolate indulgence) and paired up with the coffee it some how enhances the chocolate flavor even further (if you can imagine that) overall a great place to sit back and enjoy chocolate!

Well that is my chocolate story ... Are there any other chocolate lovers out there?

LOL... ok, I am at that point in the month where this is sounding great... I love chocolate, when I am looking for a cheat, I make a protein shake with pure cocoa and half a banana, it feels naughty, but the calories are in check.

Oh Maria! Sounds like I left Naperville too soon - we didn't have these chocolate houses back in 2000! And we certainly have nothing like that here in South Central Missouri... might have to take a road trip for chocolate.

My sister in law lives in Bolingbrook and is getting married the end of this month. We were planning on going up for just the weekend but I'd like to stay longer. We'll have to see - need to have time to check out all the chocolate hang outs!
