I look at houses all the time, every day. And I take photos of them all the time. So, it's no wonder that the iPhoto library where those from my cell phone get automatically uploaded is bursting. There are thousands of house pictures. Literally.

Since this is DC, most of them were — by American standards — old houses. But there weren't only boxy red brick colonials (one of the main staples of DC real estate), but many other distinct styles that were the last cry in their day: Tudors, Georgians, Arts & Crafts-type bungalows or Italianate villas.

It's been fun grouping them, so hopefully, it will be fun and a bit educational for others to watch them as well. Here is the first video installment of "DC House Styles" -- Spanish:
