This past Saturday was the 8th Annual Sunshine Fest in Katy, Texas. The event is to raise money for kids that have cancer. The neatest thing about the Festival is there was a young woman who once was a Sunshine Kid herself and had to have her leg amputated. She is now a pediatric nurse who helps children who have cancer. She is an awesome young woman and talks about how the Sunshine Kids just help kids with cancer, just be regular kids. There was not a dry eye in the house when she finished. I will always remember the 8th annual kids because of her. Please join us in the fight against cancer!
