Better Curb Appeal Means A Better Dressed House

Better Curb Appeal Means A Better Dressed House

There are many things you can do to make your house look great from the curb.  Curb appeal is probably the most important thing to do when selling your house.  These items should be done even if you aren't selling your house.

1. Mulch! Mulching the flower beds and trees looks so much nicer then the old yucky "last years" mulch.  The trees and flowers will thank you for letting them get dressed up with new mulch.

2. Trim shrubs and bushes.  It has been a rough winter with the weather and snow.  Everyone could use a good hair cut after a few months, so do the same with your shrubs and bushes.

3. Cut the grass and weed-eat.  Your lawn mower and weed eater haven't felt loved in about 5 months.  The snow blower and shovel had a work out this past winter.  They want to rest now.  So, get that lawn mower and weed eater out and use them!

4. Paint your front door.  Don't you fell better when you have a new coat?  Then giver your front door a "new coat" of paint!

5.  Put new house numbers on your house.  You want the take-out delivery drivers to be ablt to find your house, right?

If you made some of the above changes in your Woodbridge or Lake Ridge house, don't you think you would feel better dressed?

If you have any questions about curb appeal or about how to better "dress up" your house, please call or e-mail Stephanie.

Hi Stephanie, pretty much an indicator of what the inside will look like.

They seem like simple tasks that would be done on a recurring basis, yet in so many cases they are not.  I am partial to potted plants on patios or entry ways if there is room.  A back patio by the kitchen with an herb garden is a favorite!

Curb appeal is the first impression. If they can't get past the look of the outside, they will not want to see what's on the inside.

So true.....not only do real estate agents cringe when they see property left unattended, the neighbors are all ready to pull their hair out as it makes the entire street look bad.

Great video -- short and to the point.  Is that something KW provides?

Thanks for the post Stephanie!
