Redding CA is known for it's beautiful lakes and rivers and the nearby Mt. Shasta. Many of the residents in the area admit they were only "visiting" and loved it so much they decided to move here.  We also hear stories of those who made a "quick stop" in Redding on their way to Oregon or Washington and were impressed by the tranquility of the town and the friendly people.

This part of California also known as the Northstate, has a unique experience to fulfill anyone's interests. Even those who live here are continuously discovering and exploring the region. On weekends we love taking those backcountry roads and capturing all the scenic areas with our camera. The wonderful thing about Blogging is that we can turn around and share all this with you.

Everything is starting to bloom around here and the fresh aroma of Spring is in the air. Come back and read more posts on Redding CAand other communities that surround our area. If you like this Blog, we invite you to "subscribe", enter you email to the right of this Blog. Our post will come to your inbox as we enter new information. By the way, if you have a photo of our area you would like to submit, we would be glad to include it in our "Redding Photos" gallery. You know, being in Los Angeles I HATE it when I hear everyone refer to Sacramento or San Fransisco as "Northern CA" - as if the state stops there!  Love the pictures of the bluffs, you're missing the dam and salmon fishing at Carnelian Park - I grew up in Redding for 15 years, went to Mercy High in Red Bluff, and now that I'm in Los Angeles would you believe our next door neighbor's dad lives in Cottonwood?  Small world - welcome and I look forward to reminiscing!
