Online Marketing Priorities for Marketing to Consumers

I'm absolutely fascinated by the AR community/ The magic here is the community, not the blog!

I've been blogging  for 1.5 yrs but not very active, maybe because I wasn't getting many comments? It now makes sense because trying to blog with folks that don't spend much time online, probably is futile.

My burning questions and I'm chomping at the bit ... ready to go, but want to do it right. Can folks out there who are so great at welcoming me to the AR community, can you please provide advice on:

  1. Do I want one blog for realtors? and a separate one for home owners, i.e. I originally thought I would use this AR blog to share technical know how. For example, most common "prepare your home for sale" tasks and how much time they take, including time/cost to add a closet to a room so it counts as an extra bedroom?
  2. Do I want one blog for My Handyman (home repairs, maintenance and improvements) ... and a separate blog for 4 Walls 1 Roof (marketing services like a shared web site, for home related businesses)?
I'm anxious to determine the correct approach, so I can create a 2nd member profile, a 4 Walls group ... and invite the other 4 Walls members to join me in blogging.

Tina, I am not sure what the purpose of having multiple accounts would be. My blogs are more than just about mortgages. and I concentrate on just the one profile. I want people to follow me for the full ride, not just a particular portion, but, if that is all they want out of it, then that is cool too.

There are tons of groups here. If there is not something that you can fit into, then you can always create another group, as opposed to creating another account.

On the question of separate blogs: Placing them into separate groups will help you accomplish the very goal that you are trying to obtain without the headaches of managing2 accounts.

Hi Tina, I would think you would want to just do one so you could drive the most SEO traffic to it? I'm new at all of this though.

As I mentioned above I have 2 blogs in AR but the main reason is that our town of Charlottesville is mis-catagorized in AR as a County. I post things related to the city on my city blog and everything else on my main blog.

Your Friend in Charlottesville Virginia!

I would stick with just one. It makes you much more interseting to have many views and blog about all of your ventures..... Good luck
