When most people get in trouble in life the stress affects them in ways they are not prepared to deal with. Most divorces in America are caused by money issues, which I don't think is necessarily true. I think money is part of the problem, the other part is that when people get stressed they shut down, and all communication stops, because their body doesn't know how to deal with the stress.
I think the best thing you can do is if you start to get in trouble with anything in life is to communicate. First of all, with your loved ones, so they know what you are feeling and they don't think you have just stopped talking to them for no reason. Without communication, people tend to think the worst, and thoughts enter their heads and the fighting starts that can lead to divorce.
I want to see families stay together. I think the family structure is very important to America's future and that is why I feel if you are starting to have problems, or you know in a couple months that a problem could arise, discuss it with your family, including the kids. Kids know more than you think they do and they also feel your stress of a possible foreclosure.
If you are in default, or see a possible default on the horizon, I suggest you call your mortgage company and/or your trusted Realtor and ask if they have a possible solution for you that can keep you from having the stress that arises from the threat of foreclosure.
For more information on avoiding foreclosure in Washington, County, Oregon, please give me a call, there are more options than you think, and I am here to help.
