After reading many posts with questions regarding Top Producer I was relatively surprised that I could not find a user's manual. Using TP 7i they had a comprehensive .pdf users manual that would walk you through anything you might have ever wanted to do. It worked well, and ctr+f became my best friend.
I have been very disappointed that there is not a .pdf on hand for 8i. They do have a help button on the top right hand corner that after you click on you will be taken to a confusing "Context" page. Click on the "Index" tab allows you to type in a keyword that of what you are trying to do, and cross your fingers, hold your breath, and give a prayer at the same time that you'll find something relative.
You may find what you're looking for, but if you're not familiar with their jargon, terminology or lingo it can be very difficult to find what you are looking for. It is not as easy as it could be, but they do not have any intention of creating a .pdf file at this time.
If enough people e-mail complaints suggestions to programsuggestions@topproducer.com they will eventually see them as important and then incorporate them.
They also encourage you to visit their Top Producer Campus which has some videos that are quite time consuming, but
go slow enough to grasp the very basic concepts. Being that Top Producer 7i was Javascript and we are now dealing with an HTML based 8i we should expect to see that changes should be easier for TP to incorporate.
I've written two blogs specifically outlining suggestions that I have made to TP and if you missed them I have the links below so you can view those.

Suggestions for Improvements to Top Producer 8i
Here is the big trick. When in doubt (or in Crisis) call the Technical Support line: 1-866-230-4789. Do not wait for an 8i option as they do not have one yet, just press 1 for 7i as they use the same tech support personnel for both. This should save you a lot of headache trying to track down your sales person. I find that the information I receive from my rep, although always reassuring and given with good faith is usually confusing to implement, misleading if I haven't purchased a certain upgrade, or in some instances just wrong.

I'm hoping TP gets their act together before they upgrade me to 8i from 7i. In the meantime, I feel reassured by the fact that my tech coordinator took the hands-on 8i class - hopefully he'll walk me through everything, as he often does. He's another ActiveRainer, if you want to touch base with David Fox, the Real Estate Tech Desk
