The Melvin Peters Real Estate Team (702) 900-1238 talks about why the FSBO is selling? Most are attempting to save the commission, of course!  The truth is that a huge percentage of FSBOs net less that they would had they simply used a real estate professional. For strategies and thoughts on netting the most amount of money possible contact the Melvin-Peters Team.

If you think about it for a few minutes, it actually makes sense. You gotta ask yourself, whose is out there specifically looking for for sale by owners (FSBOs) rather than using a real estate professional that already knows all the home that are for sale? Normally it's investors, not that they are bad people. Investors are usually looking for "good deals" and often work with unsuspecting FSBOs and end up buying the house way under market. Good for the investor, too bad for the unrepresented seller.  If you do want to know what your property is worth click here

Over my 32 years in the real estate business I have seen many FSBOs hurt, and not just by the sales price. I have looked at contracts after the deal was done only to find that what they signed was horrible and referred them to an attorney in an effort to protect their interest.

Between having a professional third party to negotiate on your behalf, not to mention massive marketing to generate interest and ultimately the highest price the market will bare for the property, I'd strongly encourage all sellers to at least interview one to three agents. I am in the business and don't represent myself in real estate transactions. In my opinion, when yo9u are emotionally or financially involved you tend to make poor decisions.
